Marcus’ henchman observes Holman arriving back at his printing office. Ricky is waiting for him - he has found the book and expresses his surprise that Holman did indeed print the loyalist pamphlet Blind Eyes on Black Markets. Holman begins to explain, but when there is a sudden knock on the door, he springs into action to hide Ricky in a hidden basement under a rug, telling him to get out of the city at his first opportunity if he is unable to get rid of the Blackcoats at his door.

A Keeper kicks open Holman’s door and a Minister begins reading him charges for his arrest including Treason and Theft. Holman denies these charges and demands to see a permit for their entry, but before he completes his request the Keeper strikes him with her baton, sending Holman to his knees.

He whispers through the rug to where Ricky is hiding, “One hundred steps…” before the Keepers pull him up and away. As he is dragged out, Holman shouts, “The ministry isn’t what it used to be!” Later in the night, still alone in the hidden basement, Ricky ponders its contents, including a hidden printing press and various uniforms of different governmental branches.

Subject is in an office in the Black Pyramid when his assistant announces, “they got him.” In the lab, Subject notes they have ejected the woman from the device and are preparing it for the next subject. The assistant updates him on the previous subject’s “wipedown,” indicating a textbook execution with no remarkable details. Subject looks at the specimen that has been brought in for him - it is Hank, restrained to a table and sedated. Subject divulges to the warlord his fascination with stories of Donnie’s vision. “You’ve sought a relic for many years,” he tells Hank as the technicians strap the Hangman to a device housing a hovering, impossible object. “Now you’ll have it.”
