Holman

 

Holman Pressman runs a print shop in Lowtown, Holman Printing. Ricky is his apprentice.

Holman is in his fifties and dresses like a Maker - leather material, fedora. He wears glasses and has the look of a distinguished gentleman.

The printer shares some values with Ricky - when we meet him, he is on his way to a meeting in the city which Ricky guesses is about a humanitarian petition being debated within the Institution. He also hints that Narissa may be involved. Holman does not confirm either of Ricky’s suspicions, but when Ricky asks, “How’s it looking for us?” Holman answers with a smile, “ever better.”

Holman asks Ricky to take care of some shop business, then leaves him unattended, showing a level of trust in his responsibility.
