SId
Sid is a member of the Hangman’s Horde. He is depicted in the workshop art with a shaved head and a tattooed face.
He first appears when Ricky finds his slum in flames and the armed Outsiders corralling his neighbors. Sid sneaks behind Ricky and holds him at gunpoint. Ricky says he may have money enough to negotiate his community’s safety. Sid is amused that Ricky thinks he is dealing with Abarth’s tribe, and takes him before Hank.
To Sid’s surprise, Hank directs him to spare Ricky while the rest of the slummers are massacred.
On the way out to the Ruckus, Sid questions how Ricky “lightened the burden,” and Hank replies “he is a herald of the ones inside the walls. With his message and now the means to get inside… only one thing remains.” Hank praises Tim for a job well done as Sid scowls.
When Abarth confronts the Horde and suggests they’d be better off under a different leader, Sid threatens, “Maybe he’ll eat your fucking heart!” He seems more protective of Hank’s honor than Hank is concerned about.
Sid blames Tim for Hank’s distraction with “this… city stuff.” He feels Hank has lost focus and is putting too much importance on fighting Boomtown and too little on conquering the Wilderness tribes. Tim says Joan has decided fighting the other tribes wouldn’t be worth the losses, to which Sid replies “Better to die in a real fight than to dig our own fucking graves.” Tim touches a nerve when he says, “It’s kind of like when you left your birth tribe, right?”
This touches a nerve, and Sid attacks Tim, choking him and offering to show him “what happened“ to his birth tribe. When Tim surrenders, Sid threatens, “Then you’d better hope your tunnel idea works out.”
